about Kristen
Kristen has a deep love for people and for the Lord. Coming into a relationship with Jesus as a child, she developed a desire to serve Him beginning in her college years. She spent several years on full-time staff with Young Life in her 20s and experienced the Lord working through her in the lives of others. She enjoyed mentoring several women as she raised her children. For quite some time she felt an invitation from the Lord to slow down. Always keeping a rather frantic pace, this invitation felt both refreshing and impossible. In 2016 Kristen was diagnosed with Lyme disease, which demanded her body slow down. Kristen recognized that this invitation to slow was continual and graciously extended by the Lord, even when ignored. It was not accepted once for all, but is a choice she is choosing to make daily. A choice to go against her nature and the pull of the world, and live differently. To live at Jesus’ pace. She desires to help others learn to do the same – to meet the Holy Spirit right where He is, where we sometimes have trouble seeing and hearing due to the constant chatter in and outside our busy minds.
Kristen received a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and a certificate in Spiritual Direction through Selah, a division of Leadership Transformation Inc.
